I am guided to share my vision of what alchemy is for me – and within the context of my company name. This requires a bit of personal story – in fact, much of this site is about personal stories. Your story: my story - for not one of us ever gets to any location of our life’s pathway by chance or without effort.
Alchemy in this sanctified space is exemplified by the lotus blossom. For me, the lotus is beautiful and exotic; strong, courageous, even heroic as it rises above the dark murkiness, the mud and muck where it takes root. It reaches always to the light, to grow and blossom and multiply; to share its beauty with the world around it. It transforms darkness into light; not by ignoring it or reviling it but by engaging with the fertility of the mud and the debris that sits around it. By reaching always
towards what it knows is its natural place – beauty and a complete acceptance of self to be what it was always meant to be as it opens to the gold light of the sun; blessing the world around and all creatures of nature with this wonderful vision of loveliness.
Isn’t this then truly the turning of lead into gold? Is this not we mere mortals as each of us grows from the point where we begin - toward the light of the Divine in this world? Turning and transforming our own darkness and despair into the true light of knowledge of ourselves? Then, the key and real purpose beyond even Self- knowing and growing, turning our beauty outwards around us and providing joy and happiness and even a place of peace, contemplation and repose for our fellow travellers near and far – growing towards the light as does the lotus, we become enlightened and shine the light for others.
This to me is true alchemy - transformation in action. Real wealth. A gift and blessing for all throughout eternity.
